Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before confirming your project with Design Your Hut. By signing the quotation or making any payment, you agree to be bound by the terms set out below.
1. Scope of Work
- This BOQ covers only the items specifically mentioned in this quotation.
- Any work, material, service, modification, or requirement not expressly mentioned shall be treated as additional work and shall be charged separately.
- Measurements, quantities, and specifications are based on the information available at the time of preparing this BOQ. Any changes during execution may result in a revision of the contract value.
2. Pricing
- Prices include transportation, installation, standard fixing hardware, handles, exposed side finishing, levelers/legs, and glass unless otherwise specified.
- GST @18% (or prevailing applicable rate) shall be charged extra.
- Prices are valid for 15 days from the date of quotation unless otherwise stated.
- Any increase in material cost, taxes, freight, labor, or statutory charges before procurement shall be borne by the client.
3. Exclusions
The following are excluded unless specifically mentioned:
- Civil work
- Electrical work
- Plumbing work
- False ceiling modifications
- Painting and polishing touch-ups after installation
- Dismantling of existing furniture
- Appliance installation/uninstallation
- Site cleaning after completion
- Any permissions, approvals, or society charges
4. Site Conditions
- The client shall provide a clean, secure, and ready-to-work site before installation begins.
- Continuous electricity, water supply, and adequate lighting shall be made available by the client.
- Delays caused due to site readiness, civil work, electrical work, plumbing work, or third-party contractors shall automatically extend the delivery timeline.
- If a service lift is unavailable, unloading, manual shifting, or staircase transportation charges shall be borne by the client.
5. Design & Approvals
- The Design Fee includes preparation of 2D drawings and Mood Board only unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Three rounds of design revisions are included. Additional revisions shall be chargeable.
- Production shall commence only after written approval of the final design, BOQ, finishes, and quotation.
- Any changes requested after approval shall be treated as a variation order and may result in additional cost and extension of project timelines.
6. Variation Orders
- Any additions, deletions, modifications, material changes, finish changes, size changes, or specification changes requested after approval shall be charged separately.
- Variation work shall commence only after written approval and advance payment for the additional amount.
7. Payment Schedule

8. Quality Inspection & Final Handover
- A joint quality inspection shall be conducted upon completion of installation.
- The Client shall release the final 5% payment immediately after the quality inspection.
- Rectification of genuine punch-list items identified during the quality inspection shall commence only after receipt of the final 5% payment.
- The Company shall require approximately 10 working days from the date of receipt of the final payment to complete the agreed rectification work and prepare the project for final handover. The timeline may vary depending on the nature and extent of the identified items.
- Formal handover of the completed project shall take place only after 100% of the contract value, including any approved variation orders, taxes, and additional work charges, has been received in full.
9. Payment Default
- In the event of delayed or non-payment, the Company reserves the right to suspend all work, withhold handover, and stop any further services until all outstanding dues are cleared.
- If the Client occupies, uses, or permits the use of the completed premises before making full payment, such occupation shall constitute deemed acceptance and deemed handover of the completed work.
- Notwithstanding such deemed handover, all outstanding payments shall remain immediately due and payable.
- Warranty, maintenance services, after-sales support, and any defect liability obligations shall remain suspended until the Company receives full and final payment.
- The Company reserves the right to recover all outstanding dues, along with applicable interest and recovery costs, as permitted under applicable law.
10. Payment Terms
- All payments shall be made as per the agreed schedule without delay.
- Production, procurement, dispatch, and installation may be suspended until outstanding payments are received.
- Any delay in payment shall automatically extend the delivery schedule.
- Materials shall remain the property of the Company until full payment is received.
- Interest at 18% per annum may be charged on overdue payments.
11. Delivery & Installation
Delivery and installation schedules are estimates and are subject to:
- Timely realization of all payments.
- Final design approval.
- Site readiness.
- Availability of materials.
- Client approvals.
- Government restrictions, transport delays, labor shortages, force majeure events, or any circumstances beyond the Company's control.
The delivery timeline shall commence only after:
- Receipt of the required advance payment, and
- Written approval of the final design and quotation, whichever occurs later.
12. Client Responsibilities
The client shall:
- Provide unrestricted access to the site.
- Obtain society/building permissions.
- Arrange parking if required.
- Ensure lift availability wherever applicable.
- Be available for timely approvals and decisions.
Any delay in the above shall automatically extend project timelines.
13. Quality & Acceptance
- Minor variations in color, grain, texture, veneer pattern, laminate shade, stone, glass, or natural materials are inherent characteristics and shall not be treated as defects.
- Finished dimensions may vary within standard industry tolerances.
- The client shall inspect the work during handover. Any visible defects must be reported immediately.
- Use of the furniture shall constitute acceptance of the completed work.
14. Warranty
- Warranty shall apply only to manufacturing defects.
- Damage due to misuse, negligence, water seepage, moisture, termites, electrical faults, structural movement, unauthorized alterations, or normal wear and tear is excluded.
- Third-party accessories, appliances, electrical items, lights, chimneys, sinks, or customer-supplied materials shall carry only the manufacturer's warranty.
15. Cancellation
- Advance payments are non-refundable.
- If the client cancels the project after production begins, all materials procured, work completed, and losses incurred shall be payable by the client.
- Customized products cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has commenced.
16. Limitation of Liability
- The Company's liability shall be limited to the value of the defective item only.
- The Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, business, rental, or opportunity losses arising from project delays or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
17. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by natural disasters, strikes, labor shortages, transportation issues, government restrictions, pandemics, war, civil disturbances, or any event beyond its reasonable control.
18. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts where the Company is registered.
19. Acceptance
The client confirms that:
- All specifications, finishes, quantities, and pricing have been reviewed.
- All terms and conditions have been read, understood, and accepted.
- Signing this quotation or making any payment shall constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.
